This Weeks Junkie Mail!
Travis W: Love the webiste. What do you think was the best fight of 2009?
Boxeo: Off the top of my head I would say Sergio Martinez V Paul Williams. Those two went to town for 12 brutal rounds. Even though we had another terrible scorecard by a judge, the fight itself was wicked good and I was amazed that they were able to fight at that pace for the entire fight without somebody going down for the count.
Peter S: Who is at fault for the super fight of 2010 not going off?
Boxeo: I assume you are talking about the Pac/Mayweather fight? If so, I don't care who is at fault. They need to put up or shut up. Enough talk already!
Pascal F: What do you think of Amir Khan giving up the belt so he doesn't have to face Marcos Maidana?
Krakrabbit: Freddie Roach and Amir Khan look to be "ducking" Maidana by vacating the belt instead of fighting Marcos, but in reality they are just protecting the glass jaw of Khan. It is well-known that Amir has a very shaky beard, and I am sure Khan knows that vacating the belt is a smarter move then fighting a massive puncher like Marcos who could knock Amir out with a single punch.
Hank M: I think Glen Johnson looked shot against Dawson can he beat Yusaf Mack?
Krakrabbit: Yusaf Mack is by no means a world beater, but I must say that Glen Johnson looked his age when in the ring with Dawson for the second time. The Road Warrior looked to be off balance and slow and did not show the kind of continuous, non-stop pressure he usually has inside the ring against Dawson. I feel the fight is somewhat interesting though, as Mack is nothing special and Johnson could be slowing down at this point in his career. Combined, that could make a good, competitive fight.
