This Weeks Junkie Mail!
Tom G: What was Sam Peter’s game plan for beating Vitali Klitschko? He just walked forward and got his face beat in.
Boxeo: To be honest with you I don’t think he had a game plan. He just expected to go in there and blast VK out with one single shot. I never liked the match-up for Peter and if he wants to beat the big boys in the division he really needs to work on improving his defense.
John K: Sam Peter quit. All of this talk his team is doing about his corner ending the fight is bull. I watched the fight he said to stop it.
Boxeo: I watched the fight too and I witnessed the exact same thing as you! Peter is the one that said to stop the fight. I think his team is simply trying to save face.
Harry W: Why is Antonio Tarver trying for a rematch with Chad Dawson? The fight wasn’t remotely close and Tarver showed nothing that would suggest he can beat Dawson.
Krakrabbit: I think “The Magic Man” feels like he has something to prove. I believe that he stills wants to be considered a great fighter, the same great fighter that knocked out Roy Jones Jr. Not the nearly 40-year-old boxer that some consider to be shot.
Frankie B: I was impressed with the way Chad Dawson took Tarver to school but feel he needs to take care of his unfinished business with Glen Johnson before calling out any of the other fighters in the division.
Krakrabbit: That would be a great step to take in Dawson’s career. The decision in the Dawson/Johnson fight was controversial, and thus a rematch would be very interesting.
